Odisha’s Yash Jain Secures All-India Rank 1 in NEET-Super Specialty Exam

Bhubaneswar: In a proud moment for Odisha, Yash Jain from Kantabanji in Balangir district has secured the top position (Rank 1) in the prestigious NEET-Super Specialty (NEET-SS) exam for 2024.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi congratulated Jain for his outstanding achievement, calling it a moment of pride for the entire state. “I congratulate Yash Jain of Kantabanji in Balangir for securing the top position in the NEET-Super Specialty exam. He has made the entire state proud. Yash’s achievement will certainly inspire many other students in Odisha,” the Chief Minister wrote in a social media post.
Jain completed his MBBS from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College in Mumbai, followed by his postgraduate studies at Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur.
NEET-SS is the sole entrance examination for admission into super-specialty medical courses in India, including Doctor of Medicine (DM) and Master of Chirurgie (MCh) programmes. Conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the exam is mandatory for securing seats in both government and private medical colleges across the country.
Jain’s accomplishment is being celebrated widely across Odisha, with many hailing his success as an inspiration for future medical aspirants.
