Odisha rains: Heavy rain showers disrupt normal life

Heavy rain showers pounded Odisha on Monday disrupting normal life under influence of low pressure over the Bay of Bengal in the past three days.
The normal life in in Acharya Vihar, Jayadev Vihar, Vani Vihar, Old Town, Kalpana Square and Chandrasekharpur area was totally thrown out of gear. Water had started flowing over number of local roads.
The vehicular movements were halted and passengers were stranded in the vehicles mid way. Large number of children preferred to stay at home and did not attend school.
