Temperature to Fall by 3-5°C

Bhubaneswar: The Maximum Temperature i.e the day temperature in Odisha is likely to fall by 3-5 degree Celsius, predicted the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar.
While forecasting about the maximum temperature, the weather department said that there will not be large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during next two days and thereafter fall by 3 – 5°C during subsequent three days over the districts of Odisha.
However, the maximum temperature is likely to be above 42 degree Celsius over the districts of Jharsuguda, Boudh, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Sundergarh, Angul, Bargarh, Sonepur, Kalahandi, and Nuapada.
Meanwhile, the IMD issued the following warnings for next three days:
Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM of April 26, 2025):
ORANGE WARNING:
- Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Boudh and Balangir.
- Warm Night Conditions very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur and Balangir.
YELLOW WARNING:
- Heat wave condition is very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Sonepur, Sundargarh and Bargarh.
- Hot and humid conditions is very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 AM April 26 to 8.30 AM April 27):
YELLOW WARNING:
- Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Boudh, Sambalpur and Balangir.
- Hot and Humid Conditions very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Ganjam, Koraput and Mayurbhanj.
Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 AM April 27 to 8.30 AM April 28):
ORANGE WARNING:
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 50- 60 kmph and Hailstorm very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar and Bhadrak.
YELLOW WARNING:
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30- 40 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangapur, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Balangir, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Deogarh.
