Truck kills 2 Hyva drivers in Paradip: Irate drivers stage protest

Paradip: As many as two drivers died on the spot after a Hyva truck and an iron-laden truck met with an accident in Jagatsinghpur district. The incident happened in the restricted area in Paradip port. The other Hyva drivers have staged a protest demanding investigation and a compensation.

According to information, two drivers were working on a broken down Hyva truck. An iron-laden truck coming from behind rammed into the two drivers.

As the iron laden truck rammed into the drivers repairing the broken down Hyva vehicle, the two of them died on the spot. The iron-laden truck driver panicked and fled the scene.

Following the incident, other Hyva truck drivers have protested in front of the gate no. 2 and 3 of the Paradip port. They are demanding compensation for the family members of the deceased.
