Odisha CM launches ‘Odisha Shramik Sathi’ App

Bhubaneswar: With the aim to provide various services of the Construction Workers Welfare Board to the fingertips of workers, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday launched the ‘Odisha Shramik Sathi’ app on the occasion of the Labour Day.

The CM launched the ‘Odisha Shramik Sathi’ app during a state-level celebration of Labour Day at ‘Krushi Shiksha Sadan’ auditorium of the Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar.

By using the ‘Odisha Shramik Sathi’ app, the workers by sitting at their homes can easily access services like online registration, renewal, and application for assistance.

On this occasion, Majhi also inaugurated multi-purpose ‘Labour Waiting Centers’ at Dumduma and Kalpana Chhak in Bhubaneswar. In these ‘Labour Waiting Centers,’ the workers will be able to avail facilities like shelter facilities, drinking water, toilets, and parks.

The State government will soon set up such multi-purpose ‘Labour Waiting Centers’ in other urban areas like Cuttack, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, and Berhampur, informed the Chief Minister after distributing assistance to some workers under the Construction Workers Welfare Scheme, including education, marriage, maternity, death, and funeral assistance.
