Earthquake of Magnitude 5.1 Strikes Near Puri, Odisha

PURI: An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale was recorded near Puri, Odisha, early on Tuesday morning, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The tremor occurred at approximately 6:10 AM in the Bay of Bengal at a depth of 91 kilometers, an IMD official confirmed. The earthquake’s epicenter was located at latitude 19.52°N and longitude 88.55°E.
