Youth Found Murdered with Throat Slit in Sambalpur, Probe Underway

Bhubaneswar: A gruesome murder has shocked residents of Manapali village under Govindpur police station limits in Sambalpur district, where a young man was found dead near his home with his throat slit.

The deceased has been identified as Ashok Kujur, a native of Ladrapada village. Reports suggest Ashok had recently returned from Surat, where he was employed.

According to preliminary findings, unidentified assailants allegedly used a sharp weapon to slit Ashok’s throat and abandoned his body near his house before fleeing the scene.

The Govindpur police have launched an investigation into the incident and sent the body for post-mortem examination. While the motive behind the murder remains unclear, officials are questioning locals and gathering evidence to identify those responsible.
