Youth Electrocuted While Plucking Drumsticks in Balasore

Jaleswar: In a tragic incident, a young man was electrocuted to death while plucking drumsticks from a tree in Balasore district, Odisha, on Saturday. The incident occurred in the Angaragadia area under Industrial Estate Police Station limits.

The deceased has been identified as Satya Ranjan Das, a resident of Namakana in Jaleswar. According to reports, he was working as a domestic help in Angaragadia when he accidentally came in contact with a live electric wire while attempting to pluck drumsticks. He died on the spot due to the electric shock.

Upon receiving information, the Industrial Estate Police reached the scene and initiated an investigation. A case has been registered, and further inquiries into the matter are underway.
