Youth Dies After Losing Online Game in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A youth reportedly died by suicide after losing an online game in the Badu Sahi area of Old Bhubaneswar. The deceased has been identified as Shasanka Satpathy.

According to reports, the body was discovered on Thursday morning. Lingaraj police arrived at the scene, seized the body, and sent it to Capital Hospital for autopsy.

Bhubaneswar DCP stated that preliminary investigations suggest the youth’s death was linked to losing an online game. A detailed probe is underway.

The DCP urged youngsters and parents to avoid online games, warning that they can lead to financial losses and pose serious risks to life. He emphasized the need for families to monitor children’s online activities closely.
