Mary Kom faces Hanna Okhota in the World Boxing Championships final at the KD Jhadav indoor stadium ,New Delhi.This is it-the moment of glory for Mary Kom. The Manipuri boxer has won 5 World titles already and could be on the verge of a historical 6th.
The 2012 Olympics bronze medal-winning boxer defeated North Korea’s Kim Hyang Mi on Friday in an unanimous 5-0 decision in the semi-final to enter the final of the tournament, Sonia Chahal will face Germany’s Ornella Wahner in the final in the 57 kg category.
There is an age gap of 13 years between the two final opponents with the Ukrainian boxer being just 22 year old. When Mary was of her age , she had already had two World Championship gold medals to her name.
