Women Football League: Sports Hostel’s Splendid Win

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): In an inaugural match of Odisha Women Football League with the joint effort of Football Association of Odisha and the Odisha Government yesterday, the Odisha Sports hostel defeated the Odisha Police team by 6-1 goal at Kalinga Stadium here.

In the 12th minute of the match the Sports hostel team took lead with the first goal by Malati Munda. In the 23rd minute, Manisha Nayak made second goal. At the 29th minute the Sports hostel team made lead in the first phase  with 3-0 after Malati’s second goal. In the second phase, Sonali Oram from Police team scored first goal at 53rd minute. After that in 58.77 minute Manisha-2 and in 68th minute Malati-1 goal got their ha-tricks.

With the hard work of the Sports Hostel team coach Mrs. Mamata Kumari Samanta, the team abled to win this inaugural match perfectly. All the players of the Sports hostel team praised the guidance and coaching of Mrs. Samanta. FAO president Ashirbad Behera, Sports Director Vineel Krishna and many other dignitaries were present in the inaugural ceremony.
