Woman stabbed to death over one-side love in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A tragic incident unfolded where a woman was fatally stabbed by a security guard in Bhubaneswar, Odisha

The victim, identified as Baijanti Sahu from the Naugaon area of Jagatsinghpur district was attacked by Ramesh Barik, a former security guard at GGB colony in Bhubaneswar.

As per records, Ramesh assaulted Baijanti with a sharp knife, causing critical injuries to her abdomen. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Bhubaneswar but later transferred to SCB Medical College and Hospital as her condition worsened.

However, while undergoing treatment,  Baijanti could not survive her injuries and passed away at SCB Medical College. The family of the deceased has lodged a complaint at Mancheswar police station.

According to reliable sources, it is suspected that Ramesh stabbed Baijanti due to unrequited love. The police arrived at the crime scene and initiated an investigation into the matter.
