Wagons Detached at Kesinga

Kesinga: Close on the heels of the tragic train accident in Balasore, wagons of a goods train got detached at Kesinga railway station in Odisha’s Kalahandi district, today. According to reports, the freight train carrying aluminum was heading towards Angul from Damanjodi.

The engineless section of the train ran on the track for around 30 meters after the detachment. On realizing about the incident, the loco pilot stopped the train and informed the concerned Railway authorities.

Several technicians were being sent to the spot for restoration work. It may be recalled here that a train accident involving Coromandel Express, SMVP-Howrah Superfast Express and a goods train at Bahanaga in Balasore on June 2 claimed at least 289 lives.
