VSSUT authority takes action against 100 students

Burla: Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla, Sambalpur district, Odisha, has taken disciplinary action against 100 students for violating guidelines.
The students were barred from visiting sensitive areas due to safety concerns, following an unfortunate incident on April 10 where a girl student drowned in a fishery area.
The university authorities have imposed penalties on the students who disobeyed the guidelines. Five students have been expelled from the hostel, while others have been fined Rs 5,000 and given an “F” grade.
Additionally, some students have been ordered to perform social work under the supervision of the DSW.
The action aims to ensure student safety and adherence to university rules. The VSSUT administration has made it clear that violating guidelines will attract strict penalties.
