Use sauna to keep heart healthy

Regular sauna use may keep your heart healthy and lower the risk of death from cardio-vascular diseases in people aged 50 years and above, according to a study.

CVD among people who used sauna  four to seven times a week was 2.7 fatal CVD events per 1000 person years compared to 10.0 in those who do not use sauna.

Sauna use triggers increase in heart rate equivalent to that seen in moderate exercise.
