Two Killed in Bike-Truck Collision on NH-20 in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: In a tragic road accident, two men lost their lives after their motorcycle rammed into a moving truck from behind near Greenfield School on National Highway-20 under Sadar police limits in Keonjhar district on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased have been identified as Santosh Kumar Mahakud (35) and Deepak Kumar Mahakud (30), both residents of Kalanda village under Parjanpur panchayat in Sadar block.

According to reports, the duo was travelling from Jhumpura Bazaar towards Palaspanga when they reportedly lost control of their bike and crashed into the rear of a moving truck. The impact of the collision was so severe that both were thrown off the vehicle and died on the spot.

Sadar police reached the scene shortly after the incident, seized the motorcycle, and sent the bodies to the district headquarters hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
