Two Dead, One Injured as Car Overturns in Canal in Nayagarh

Nayagarh: A tragic road accident claimed the lives of two people and left one injured after a car overturned into a canal near Bhanrapalli Gobigyan under Khandapada police station limits on Friday night.

The deceased have been identified as Padmacharan Maharana and Manjulata Maharana. Milina Maharana, who was injured in the accident, was rushed to a nearby primary health centre (PHC) for treatment.

According to initial reports, the car, bearing registration number OD02AAN8794, was en route from Khalisahi to Kosaka when it struck a culvert and overturned into the canal. Police have arrived at the scene and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
