Two College Students Killed in Cuttack Road Accident

Athagarh: Two minor college students were killed in a tragic road accident on the Athagarh-Mundali road in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Rishi Das (16) and Somu Behera (16), both from Kandarpur. According to reports, the two friends were standing by the roadside when a speeding pickup van lost control and hit them, causing critical injuries.

Locals rushed the injured students to Athagarh hospital, where doctors declared Rishi Das dead on arrival. Somu Behera, who was transferred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack due to his deteriorating condition, later succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The incident has left the community in shock, with a pall of gloom descending over the area following the untimely deaths of the young students.
