Tukuni Sahoo, Jagannath Saraka to sign Droupadi’s nomination

Bhubaneswar, June 23: Two Odisha Ministers Tukuni Sahu and Jagannath Sarka will sign in the nomination papers of Droupadi as and when she files her nomination.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Thursday tweeted about it.

Earlier BJP national president JP Nadda had spoken to Patnaik in this regard.

Notably, a presidential candidate requires a set of 50 proposers and 50 seconders for his or her nomination.

Murmu, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s presidential candidate, is likely to file her nomination on June 24.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union ministers and chief ministers, and key leaders of some other supporting parties like the Biju Janata Dal will join her during the nomination filing.

The Odisha Chief Minister had on Wednesday appealed to all MLAs of the Odisha Legislative Assembly to support the candidature of Draupadi Murmu as President of India.
