Trust Formed for Construction of Ram Mandir

New Delhi: In a major development, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi today announced that the Central government is setting up an independent trust to finalize the details for the construction of a Ram Temple in Ayodhya. To be called Shri Ram Janmabhumi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the body has formed as per the directions of the Supreme Court, pointed out the PM in the Lok Sabha.

The Shri Ram Janmabhumi Teerth Kshetra trust will take all decisions for the construction of a grand Ram Temple on the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, added the PM. The decision to form the trust was taken at a meeting of the Union Cabinet chaired by Nadendra Modi today.

The 67.703 acres of land along with the inside and outside courtyard will be transferred to the Ram Janmabhumi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the construction of the Temple. Announcing another major decision taken by the Union Cabinet, the PM declared the government will also develop the area around the proposed Ram Temple as a major pilgrimage and tourist attraction.
