Trisulia Bridge doubling soon

Bhubaneswar, Aug 8(Reporters Today Bureau): Odisha Government has decided to construct a bridge adjacent to the Trisualia bridge that connects the Capital City with the Millennium City at a cost of Rs 160 crore.

According to sources, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has in-principle agreed to the proposal to construct the bridge following the increasing load on the existing bridge.

Lately, the traffic on the bridge has increased manifold. The bridge which has helped reduced the distance to places such as Athagarh and Dhenkanal considerably is being used by vehicles frequently.

This move is seen as yet another development initiative of the State government which has earned laurels at national and internationals levels. Odisha has been lauded by international organizations , including the United Nations for its activities such as ‘Mo Bus’ that plies in the twin city. Daily a large number of people commute on this bridge from both sides.
