Traffic Routes For PM Modi’s visit to Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bhubaneswar today for which the security has been heightened and a traffic advisory has been issued. If you are visiting Bhubaneswar today you need to avoid these routes keeping in view the traffic advisory issued by the Commissionerate Police.

PM Modi’s visit to Bhubaneswar: He is scheduled to reach the venue in a road show from the Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar. Accordingly, traffic advisory has been issued keeping in mind the expected traffic congestion and huge crowd.

As per the traffic advisory the routes and parking of the buses, cars, bikes and other vehicles coming for PM Modi’s visit to Bhubaneswar meeting have been fixed.

Buses coming from Cuttack side: 

For buses plying from Cuttack side on the NH 16 for the programme of PM Modi will reach near Sainik school via service road from Railway overbridge Rasulgarh – Vani Vihar square – Acharya Vihar square – right turn – Apollo Hospital – Sainik School.

Buses coming from Khordha side:

For the buses coming from Khordha side on the NH 16 will have to take left turn to the service road after crossing Jayadev Vihar flyover to reach Acharya Vihar square – left turn – Appollo Hospital – Sainik School road – Nalco square – Kalinga hospital road – Railway Colony chhak. They will park vehicle in between Railway Colony round square to Utkal hospital and Hatisuani chhaka in one line.

Buses coming from Nandankanan side:

The buses will reach Nalco square and take the Kalilnga hospital road and park the vehicle in between Railway Colony round square to Utkal hospital and Hatisuani chhaka in one line.

Buses coming from Puri side:

The buses coming from Puri side for the programme will reach Kalpana square – Rajmahal square – left turn – Sishu Bhawan Chhaka – right turn. They will park the vehicles in between Sishu Bhawan chhak to Capital Hospital square.

For the general commuters:

The Heavy vehicles (with 6 or more wheels – trucks, trailers) crossing Bhubaneswar: via Bhubaneswar can follow these routes:

1. From Khordha side to Cuttack -They can go from Pitapalli square to Chandaka square for going to Cuttack.
2. From Cuttack: can go from Balikuda square to Trishulia square can go to Pitapali square

Vehicles commuting within Bhubaneswar especially from Biju Patnaik International Airport to Janata Maidan can follow this route:

Airportà capital hospitalà AG square- left turn- Raj Bhavan square- right turn- Power House square à 120 battalion squareà Shastri Nagar squareà Behera sahi squareà Jaydev Vihar squareà XIMB squareà NALCO square.

These routes are likely to be crowded from 3.00 pm till 6.00pm or till the completion of the programme today.

The commuters are advised not to travel through this road and divert their journey: Commissionerate Police.

However, this advisory is not applicable on the emergency services like Fire brigade and ambulance.
