Traffic regulations for Bahuda Jatra

Puri: The three chariots are waiting in Sharadhabali for the Bahuda Yatra. After spending time in Mahalakshmi Gundicha Temple on Heera Panchami, Mahaprabhu Jagannath has decided to return to the Shrimandir.

The Puri Police Administration has issued traffic restrictions in the city for Jagannath’s Bahuda Yatra and Suna besha. The police have issued guidelines on where vehicles coming from other places to Puri will park.

Two-wheelers parking regulations

• Two-wheelers coming to Bhubaneswar will park at Jagannathballav from Mangalaghat Chowk, Mashani Chandi Chowk, Devighat Chowk.
• After the Jagannathballav parking is full, all the two-wheelers will park at Matitota Sports Ground from Mashani Chandi Chowk.
• After the vehicles are full there, the two-wheelers will park at Matitota Helipad area from Mangalaghat Chowk via Sri Setu.
• The vehicles at Jagannath Ballav can leave towards Bhubaneswar via Narendra Kon, Jatiya Baba Chowk, Kumbarpada Thana, Khutta Nala and Batagaon Chowk.
• The two-wheelers coming from Konark will park their vehicles at Baidas Nagar, Grid Station Chowk, Penthakta Chowk, Subhash Bose Chowk between Blue Flag Beach and Nilachal Ashoka Complex. From there, they will leave via the same route.
• All the two-wheelers coming from Brahmagiri will park at Jagannath Ballav from Mangalaghat Chowk via Mashani Chandi Chowk, Devi Ghat Chowk.
• After the Jagannath Ballav parking is full, all the two-wheelers will park at Matitota Sports Ground from Mashani Chandi Chowk. Once the vehicles are full there, two-wheelers will park at Matitota Helipad area from Mangalaghat Chowk via Sri Setu.
• Vehicles at Jagannath Ballabh will leave for Brahmagiri via Narendra Kon, Mangalaghat Chowk.

Four-wheelers parking regulations

• All motor vehicles coming from Bhubaneswar and Konark will go through Maltipatpur Bridge, Baidas Nagar Chowk, Grid Station Chowk till Talbania.
• On Talbania side, vehicles will be parked sequentially at Vidhansa Guest House, Industrial Training Center, Helipad, Indoor Stadium, Horticulture Zone and Swachh Mach Bazaar.
• From there, they will leave towards Bhubaneswar via PKRIT Chowk, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bhudan Chowk, Grid Station Chowk, Balighat Chowk, Samgara Gram and Batgaon Chowk.
• All light motor vehicles coming from Brahmagiri Patti will proceed from Mangalaghat Chowk to Sterling Chowk.

From there, they will park their vehicles at the designated vehicle parking area. From there, they will proceed via the same route.

Regular Passenger Service

• Autorickshaws coming from Talbonia Patti will proceed via Water Works Road, Odisha Bekar and Ram Mandir Chowk to Ghoda Bazaar Chowk.
• On the way back, they will proceed via Ram Mandir, Shrikshetra Colony and Mangala Mandir.
• Similarly, autos coming from Maltipatpur will proceed via Batgaon Chowk to Khuwatnala and proceed via the same route.
• Autos coming from Brahmagiri Patti will proceed via Mangalaghat Chowk to Sterling Chowk. They will proceed via the same route.
