Traffic Curbs in Bhubaneswar for PM Visit

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has imposed traffic restrictions in the capital city ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on January 28, when he is scheduled to inaugurate the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave-2025 at Janata Maidan.

The restrictions will apply on specific routes to ensure smooth movement during the VVIP visit. According to the advisory, no vehicles will be allowed to ply on the Airport Square to Nalco Square route via Hospital Square, Raj Bhawan Square, Power House Square, 120 Battalion Square, Shastri Nagar, Behera Sahi Square, Jaydev Vihar Square, and Xavier Square between 10:25 AM and 11:10 AM on January 28.

Similarly, vehicular movement on the Nalco Square to Airport Square route via Nalco Square, Xavier Square, Jaydev Vihar, Behera Sahi Square, Shastri Nagar Square, 120 Battalion Square, Power House Square, Raj Bhawan Square, AG Square, and Hospital Square will be restricted from 12:20 PM to 1:05 PM the same day.

Emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire brigade vehicles, will be exempted from the restrictions, the police clarified.
