Traffic advisory issued for Rahul Gandhi’s roadshow

Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police has issued a traffic advisory for the upcoming programs of All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge along with Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and senior Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in Bhubaneswar tomorrow.

As part of the veteran Congress leaders’ visit, a roadshow has been scheduled from Bhubaneswar Airport Square to Jaydev Vihar. Owing to this event, significant traffic congestion is expected in and around Bhubaneswar, particularly along the following routes:

From 10 AM to 12 Noon:

• Heavy traffic congestion is expected on the stretch from Airport Sqr. to Jaydev Vihar Sqr. (viz. Hospital Sqr. AG Sqr. Raj Bhavan Sqr. Power House Sqr.- 120 Bn., Sqr.- Shastri Nagar Sqr. Behera Sahi Sqr.) and vice versa.

From 1.30 PM to 2 PM:

• Traffic congestion is expected in and around Baramunda Sqr. to Hotel Mayfair, (viz Jaydev Viahr Sqr.) and its adjoining areas.

From 3 PM to 3.30 PM:

• Traffic congestion is expected on the stretch from Hotel Mayfair to Master Canteen Sqr. (viz. Jaydev Vihar Sqr.- Behera Sahi Sqr.- Shastri Nagar Sqr.- 120 Bn. Sqr.. Power House Sqr. Raj Bhavan Sqr. AG Sqr. PMG Sqr.) and its adjoining areas.

From 4 PM to 5 PM:

• Traffic congestion expected on the stretch from (Master Canteen Sqr. to Airport Sqr. (viz. PMG Sqr.- AG Sqr.- Hospital Sqr.) and its adjoining areas.

Police also advised people to plan their route accordingly and take alternate routes where possible to avoid inconvenience.

It is to be noted here that the veteran Congress leaders are slated to take part in party’s “Save Constitution” rally at the Baramunda Ground in Bhubaneswar. AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal will also accompany them.
