Traffic Advisory for Prime Minister’s Visit
Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police has imposed traffic restrictions across several key routes in Capital city on Tuesday in anticipation of a large crowd for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.
Modi is scheduled to launch the BJP government’s Subhadra Yojana at Janata Maidan and lay foundation stone of various projects. The police imposed these restrictions to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety. The traffic advisory will be in effect from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm today. Here are the main restrictions:
No Vehicle Zones: Vehicles will be barred from traveling between Jaydev Vihar and NALCO Square, including all connecting lanes.
Alternative Routes: Vehicles from Nandankanan heading towards Jaydev Vihar should use either Damana Square – Guru Kelu Charan Park – Sainik School – Acharya Vihar or the Sikharchandi – Patharagadia – DN School – Kalinga Studio Chhak – Fire Station route. Conversely, those traveling from Jaydev Vihar to Nandankanan should use Acharya Vihar – Sainik School – Guru Kelu Charan Park – Damana Square or the Fire Station – DN School – Patharagadia – Sikharchandi route.
Cuttack Side Traffic: Vehicles coming from Cuttack should use NH-316 or Nandankanan road to enter Bhubaneswar. Additionally, they should divert from Behera Sahi chhak if heading towards Acharya Vihar or CRPF chhak and avoid Jaydev Vihar.
Service Road Restrictions: Vehicles from Cuttack will not be permitted on the service road from Acharya Vihar overbridge towards Jaydev Vihar square. Similarly, vehicles from Baramunda are prohibited from using the service road from Crown Hotel towards Jaydev Vihar square.
