Tour De Kalinga to be flagged off on Dec 8

Bhubaneswar: Tour De Kalinga, the longest community cycling tour in the country covering 1300 kilometers in 13 days, will commence from Bhubaneswar on December 8.

A team of 30 National and International Cyclist will travel on bicycles from Bhubaneswar to Koraput and again return to Bhubanswar through different routes, informed Sudhir Kumar Dash, the founder of Roots of Odisha Foundation.

“The Puri-Konark Marine Drive, the Chillika Lagoons, the mountainous terrain of the Eastern Ghat, the Tibetan Culture, the Tribal culture and the lost Green forest has tremendous potential to be a Cycling Tour Corridor and we will be able to place Odisha in the hot seat of the International map and centre of attraction worldwide,” Dash said.
