Tigress ‘Megha’ Gives Birth To 3 Cubs In Nandankanan Zoological Park

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): The Royal Bengal tigress ‘Megha’ delivered three cubs at Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar of Odisha on Tuesday night.

With this, the total tiger population in the zoo has reached up to 30. Out of which seven are White Tigers, four are Melanistic Tigers and 13 are Royal Bengal Tigers.

The mother tigress along with her 3 cubs are healthy and have been kept under CCTV surveillance for safety, informed zoo authorities.

Earlier on March 28 white tigress ‘Bijaya’ had given birth to three cubs and in January 2020 while tigress ‘Sneha’ had delivered two cubs in the zoo
