Three Poachers Arrested with Pangolin Scales in Nuapada
Khariar: A special team from the Khariar Forest Department raided Junapani village in Nuapada district on Wednesday, arresting three poachers and seizing 350 pangolin scales weighing 1.8 kg.
The accused have been identified as Lalmohan Tandi of Bhimakhol village, Balaram Bhue of Kotamal village, and Markanda Bag of Shagunbhadi village in Sinapali block.
According to reports, the arrests were made during an illegal pangolin scale trade. Acting on intelligence, the Forest Department apprehended the suspects while the deal was in progress.
A case has been registered against the three, and they have been presented before the court as the investigation continues.
