Three Maoists Killed in Odisha-Chhattisgarh Border Encounter
Malkangiri/Bijapur: In a significant anti-Maoist operation, three Maoists were killed during a prolonged encounter with security forces along the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border, according to official reports. The joint operation, led by the CRPF, was launched after receiving intelligence on Maoist presence in the Rekhapalli-Komathpalli forest area.
The encounter, which spanned several hours, involved an exchange of gunfire between security forces and the Maoists. Following the confrontation, security personnel recovered the bodies of three Maoists and seized an SLR rifle, along with a substantial cache of arms and ammunition from the site.
