Three Killed in Bike-Bus Collision in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Three people lost their lives in a tragic accident on National Highway 326 near MV-7 village in Malkangiri district on Saturday evening. The accident occurred when their bike collided head-on with a speeding government bus near a turning close to the Tamasa River.

All three victims died on the spot as the bus ran over them after the collision. Following the accident, the bus driver fled the scene, according to sources.

A team from Malkangiri police arrived at the site, sent the bodies for postmortem, and seized the vehicles involved in the mishap.

While one of the deceased has been identified as a resident of Padmagiri in MV-86, the identities of the other two victims are yet to be confirmed. Investigations are underway.
