Three Arrested for Serial Temple Thefts in Ganjam

Rambha: Police have arrested three individuals in connection with a series of temple thefts in Ganjam district, Odisha. The arrests were made on Saturday under the jurisdiction of Rambha Police Station.

The accused have been identified as B. Raju Pradhan from Rambha, S. Babula from Kukudakhandi village under Berhampur Sadar police limits, and A. Ramachandra from Godibandh village in Malad.

According to reports, the trio was involved in stealing jewelry, valuables, and other property from multiple temples. During the investigation, police discovered that the accused had targeted seven temples and a few grocery shops.

Law enforcement recovered five iron rods, a hammer, ₹1,250 in cash, and other items from the suspects.

The arrests mark a breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to curb thefts targeting religious sites in the district.
