The First Underwater Mid-Range Phone

Ahead of the official announcement on January 9, Oppo has confirmed key features and specifications for its upcoming Reno13 Series. The smartphones are designed to bring advanced AI imaging capabilities, upgraded performance, and enhanced productivity tools to a wider audience.

The Reno13 series is set to introduce multiple AI imaging tools, including AI Livephoto, AI Clarity Enhancer, AI Unblur, AI Reflection Remover, and AI Eraser 2.0. These features enable users to capture, edit, and refine images directly on their devices. AI Livephoto records short video clips before and after a photo is taken, while AI Clarity Enhancer sharpens images at up to 10x digital zoom.

AI tools like Unblur restore clarity to blurry photos, and Reflection Remover eliminates unwanted glare from images taken through glass. Additionally, the AI Eraser 2.0 removes distractions like photobombers or background objects from pictures.

Camera specifications

The Reno13 Pro is equipped with a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS, a 50MP JN5 telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 115° field of view. Both variants feature a 50MP front-facing camera for high-resolution selfies.

The Reno13 Series debuts MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 processor, fabricated using TSMC’s 4nm process. The chip offers 20% better performance and 30% improved energy efficiency compared to its predecessor. It also supports AI features, gaming performance, and multi-tasking capabilities.
