Test, diagnosis, evaluations facilities at SCB soon
Cuttack, Dec 5: Authorities of SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH) here have decided to provide emergency services such as different pathological tests, radio diagnosis investigations and biochemistry evaluations during the night to patient round the clock soon.
The SCBMCH authorities had given a proposal to State government to run all the pathological, radio-diagnostics and biological tests, investigations and evaluations for 24 hours on Public-Private-Partnership(PPP) mode.
The Health and Family Welfare Department has already considered the proposal and is also making necessary preparations to start the facility on outsourcing basis in the premier government run hospital of the state, said sources.
According to these sources, these facilities are available at SCBMCH’s Regional Diagnostic Center(RDC) between 9AM and 4PM.
These facilities are also not available on holidays as the RDC remains closed on these days.
In emergency, the critical patients have to depend upon outside Patholabs and diagnostic centers thereby incurring expenditure despite implementation of ‘Nidan’ scheme- the State government’s flagship programme aiming at providing free diagnostic service to patients.
The sources said, patients will no more face difficulties as outsourced professionals will conduct all the pathological tests, radio diagnosis and biochemistry evaluations before 9AM and after 4PM on each working day and in all holidays.
