TDCC Official in Vigilance Snare

Sundargarh (Reporters Today Bureau): Jayprakash Mohanty, Manager, Tribal Development Co-operative Corporation, Sundargarh district was today detained by Odisha Vigilance as the official was allegedly carrying Rs 19 lakh unaccounted cash in a vehicle.

According to reports, Jayaprakash was travelling in the car from Sundargarh town to his residence, when a Vigilance team led by DSP Sudhansu Pujari chased and intercepted the vehicle at Masnikani toll gate.

On searching the car, the Vigilance officers found Rs 19 lakh in the vehicle. Mohanty was unable to provide satisfactory answer regarding the source of the money, reports said. Till last reports came in, he was being questioned at the Vigilance office.
