Tata Power-led Odisha Discoms to partner with 7,000 local suppliers to strengthen power distribution

BHUBANESWAR: Reaffirming its commitment to Odisha’s economic growth, Tata Power-led Odisha Discoms are working with over 7,000 local contractors and suppliers to transform the state’s power distribution sector.
These partnerships play a crucial role in driving Odisha’s industrial expansion, strengthening the local supply chain, and generating employment opportunities. Thousands of locals are engaged in various roles across these supplier networks, contributing to the state’s economic progress.
The four Odisha Discoms — TP Central, TP Southern, TP Northern, and TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited — have integrated local vendors into their daily operations, ensuring efficient service delivery. Many of these partnerships align with Tata Power’s ‘Utkarsh Odisha’ vision, which encourages local businesses to employ residents from nearby areas.
This initiative aligns with the Odisha government’s ‘Make in Odisha’ vision, fostering industrial growth and creating widespread employment opportunities.
