Superintending Engineer in Vigilance Snare

Balasore: Odisha Vigilance sleuths today conducted raids at seven sites in Balasore district related to allegations of disproportionate assets involving Pravas Kumar Pradhan, the Superintending Engineer of Irrigation of Balasore Division.

Sources indicate that Vigilance teams have identified over 50 plots owned by Pradhan. The Vigilance department is probing the allegations of Pradhan acquiring assets disproportionately to his service.A squad of 20 officials, which includes two Additional Superintendents of Police, four Deputy Superintendents of Police, six Inspectors, and seven Assistant Sub-Inspectors, is executing the searches. These raids are conducted according to search warrants granted by the Special Judge of Vigilance in Balasore. List of properties being searched, as authorized by the search warrants from the Special Judge of Vigilance, Balasore:

1. Parental residential house of Sri Pradhan located at Badabazar, Jaleswar, Balasore.

2. One five-storeyed newly constructed building of Sri Pradhan located at Badabazar, Jaleswar, Balasore.

3. One single-storeyed building with a boundary wall and Market complex of Sri Pradhan located at Badabazar, Jaleswar, Balasore.

4. House of his relative located at Mahinsamunda, Baliapal, Balasore.

5. Govt. A quarter of Sri Pradhan, located at Irrigation Colony near Govt. ITI Chhak, Balasore.

6. Office Chamber of Sri Pradhan, SE of at Balasore Division, Balasore near Govt. ITI Chhak.

7. House of his close associate at Santia, Jaleswar, Balasore.
