Subhadra scheme: 88,000 women to receive third-phase assistance on August 9

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will release the third installment of financial assistance under the Subhadra Scheme on August 9, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan. Eligible beneficiaries will have the funds directly credited to their bank accounts.

In a significant move, the state has also announced a second chance for 88,000 women who were excluded from the scheme’s second phase due to various reasons. Their names will be reviewed over the next two to three days, and those found eligible will be included in the upcoming disbursement.

As per official data, 1.88 lakh women received assistance in the first phase of the scheme. Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida confirmed that efforts are being made to ensure no eligible woman is left out from receiving the benefits in the third phase.
