STF arrests man with 335 grams of brown sugar

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) in Bhubaneswar arrested a man along with 335 grams of brown sugar during a raid by the side of Hi-Tech-Bankual Raod under Badagada Police Station today.

On the basis of intelligence input, a team of STF conducted the raid against illegal dealing/possession of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended one drug peddler whom they identified as Prakash Sethi @ Papu  Turumunga village of Keonjhar district.

During the search, the team recovered contraband brown sugar weighing 335 gram and other incriminating materials from his possession and seized them.

The accused person could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such contraband materials, for which the accused person has been arrested and will be forwarded to the court of District Judge cum Special Judge, Khurda at Bhubaneswar.

In this connection STF PS Case No.11 dated 06.05.2025 U/s 21(c) of NDPS Act 1985 was registered. Further investigation is underway.
