Stay Order of Ratha Yatra; Allegations & The Truth

Bhubaneswar (Surjit Kumar Dhal): It is really painful news that the world famous Puri ‘Ratha Yatra’ got stay order by the Supreme Court. All the Jagannath devotees across the universe are in sorrow. On 18th of June 2020 the Supreme Court gave stay order to the Car Festival which is scheduled on 23rd June for Coronavirus scare. The Corona patient count rapidly increases day by day. The State government is with all its effort to fight against this hazardous disease. Near about 200 Corona cases are being detected everyday. A huge preparation for the world famous festival with public control, maintaining social distance and corona management at a time seem to be very difficult in this crucial moment.

We must have to keep faith on our Judiciary. Now a days, some irresponsible persons are blaming the State govt over the court’s decision and trying to politicize the whole matter. In my point of view, is the top court runs under Odisha govt? The court delivered the decision after realizing the actual scene of Odisha. Similarly it is believed that, all the happenings in this world are with Lord Jagannath’s wish.

Apart from all, where are the elected legislators now? If all the MLAs will take responsibility of their concern places, then the govt has no problem to conduct the festival. In Indian politics, the public representatives are only visible in the time of elections, and in the time of pandemic all responsibilities are with the govt.
