State Vigilance arrests suspect Audit Officer

Following a tip off, Vigilance, Koraput Division intercepted a bus at Jeypore to catch a suspect.

 One Artabandhu  Rout, son of  Late Narada Rout of village Padana,  P.S. Niali,  Dist. Cuttack  working as Audit Officer, SC & ST Dept. in Secretariat,  Bhubaneswar  was arrested .He was carrying huge amount of cash cash collected during the Audit conducted in ITDA Malkangiri.

.He was travelling in the bus at the time of arrest. A sum of Rs.729000/- (Seven lakh twenty nine thousand) was recovered from him whom he couldn’t account for satisfactorily.  His native house under Niali P.S. is being searched. Further reports will be published when received.
