State-of-the-art Cancer Hospital in Bhubaneswar soon

Bhubaneswar, July 27(Reporters Today Bureau): A state-of-the-art cancer hospital will be established in the capital City soon.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the new Rs 650 crore- facility will be set up in the campus of Nation Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) on city outskirt.

Pradhan said he has held a meeting in this regard with Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi and senior officials of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Department of Atomic Energy.

The Department of Atomic Energy will spend Rs 400 crore while Rs 250 crore is being contributed by Tata Trusts.

As much as 17 acre land has already been allotted for the construction of the hospital and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will provide an additional 10 acre land for the hospital, he said.
