Star Air Launches Flights from Jharsuguda to Lucknow

Jharsuguda: Star Air launched its new flight service from Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda, Odisha, to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, today. The inaugural flight arrived from Hyderabad at 4:08 pm and then departed for Lucknow at approximately 4:35 pm.

According to Airport Director Sandeep Kumar Tiwari, this new service will operate four days a week. The flights between Jharsuguda and Lucknow will be available on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Additionally, Jharsuguda-Raipur-Jharsuguda flights will run on Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday.

 

This flight service launch is part of the Odisha government’s new destination policy aimed at increasing connectivity to the state. The policy also includes the launch of flights connecting Jharsuguda with Raipur and Lucknow, as well as additional services to Hyderabad and Mumbai.

The Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, had announced on December 30, 2024, that Jharsuguda Airport would be connected to four more cities starting in January. The flight services will be operated by Regional airline operator Star Air.
