Srimandir to Remain Shut for Devotees on Oct 24 & 25

Puri: The famous Lord Jagannath temple in Puri of Odisha will remain shut for devotees as well as habishyalis for two days i.e. 24th and 25th October, 2024 today and tomorrow. Preparations are underway in Puri to deal with the cyclonic storm. Precautionary measures have also been taken by the Srimandira administration for the cyclonic storm.

The temple administration has taken precautionary measures so that the Mahaprabhu’s rituals is not affected. Darshan will be closed for 2 days for the habishyalis and general public.

On the other hand, preparations are being made at the habishyali centres to tackle any untoward situation due to the cyclone. In case of power outage, a DG set has been kept ready. Food has also been kept ready.

The District Collector of Puri has informed that the darshan arrangement of Lord Jagannath of the habisyalis has been cancelled for today and tomorrow. On the other hand, temporary tins have been removed from Anand Bazar. Arrangements have been made for temporary sheds to protect against rainwater.

Similarly, the management of the shrine has removed the LED screen in front of the lion’s gate. Sandbags have been placed on the tin roof of Koili Baikunth premises. For the convenience of the devotees, the roof of the barricade has been removed. Steps have been taken to ensure that the CCTV system is not affected.
