Srimandir Budget to be Tabled Today
Puri: The annual budget of Shrimandira, the famous Lord Jagannath temple in Puri of Odisha will reportedly be tabled today in the temple management committee meeting today. The annual budget of Shrimandira for this year will be presented in this meeting. Ahead of that yesterday the Finance Sub Committee meeting was held at the Shrimandira Administrative office under the chairmanship of the Chief Administrator Arabind Padhy. In this meeting, the current year’s budget was presented.
According to the Finance Subcommittee, the total budget of Shrimandira for this year is Rs 386 crore. It will be approved by the Shrimandira Management Committee. Besides, in today’s meeting discussions will also be held for the arrangement regarding how devotees can buy gold bonds in the coming days. There will also be discussions for making of new golden ornaments for the deities.
Similarly, there will be discussion regarding silver coating of the main gate of Ratna Bhandara, setting up of hundi (donation box) in each district headquarters and setting up of Shrimandira Information Center. The report of the 3-member inquiry committee on the incident of the falling of Bada Thakura Lord Balabhadra during Adapa Mandapa Pahandi will also be presented in the meeting of the Shrimandir’s management committee.
