‘Srikshetra’ is in Safe Hand

Bhubaneswar (Surjit Kumar Dhal): Our State is blessed with galaxies of IPS. The administration, management and all other matters of Odisha are smoothly handled by the efficient IPS officers. Here we are discussing about a well-known and efficient Police officer, Kanwar Vishal Singh.

The Cop is in the right track to control the criminal activities as well as the smooth city maintenance. He is the most favourite cop in the state as he provides his personal number to common people for immediate help in Puri.

He is the man who maintains police service as well as peoples sentiment simultaneously. In his previous posts, he has done tremendous job in public service. The cop also initiated a fine to his own traffic constable of Rs 2,000 for not wearing a mask in Puri.

Police personnels posted in Puri are the first point of contact for tourists especially those visiting Shri Jagannath Temple and the sea beach. Keeping this in view and to ensure the personnel discharge their duties efficiently being polite, a one-day tourist friendly soft skills development programme was organised for the town police here on September 2, 2021. IPS officer Kanwar Vishal Singh on November 22, 2020 took charge as Puri SP. He was earlier serving as Sambalpur SP and transferred and posted as SP, Puri.

It may be recalled here that former Puri SP Akhileshwar Singh was transferred and attached to SP, Headquarters on November 20, a day after the alleged custodial death of an accused in Puri town.
