Snakebite Death in Balangir

Balangir: In a tragic incident, a minor boy and his sister succumbed to snakebite injury in Balangir of Odisha yesterday night. The sad incident took place at a house in the Malgodown Pada in Balangir city.

The deceased boy and girl have been identified as the children of Abdul Rehman of Malgodam Pada.

As per reports, such an incident took place while the brother and sister were sleeping at their home at yesterday night. As their family members found the two children in critical condition following the snakebite, they rushed them to the Bhimabhoi Medical College and hospital in Balangir. However, the doctors there declared both of them dead.

Accordingly, after getting information about the incident, Balangir Town Police reached the spot and initiated investigation. The bodies have been sent for autopsy.

By now it has not been cleared which poisonous snake bit them.
