Skin transplantation of Balanga girl successful

Bhubaneswar: The Balanga girl who was airlifted to AIIMS on July 20 (Sunday) has undergone a skin transplantation yesterday. The team of expert doctors who are treating her said that her condition is stable now.

According to information, the Balanga girl is currently under oxygen support but her condition is stable now. The doctors at AIIMS (New Delhi) had performed skin transplantation on her. A special team of doctors is closely monitoring her health.

Several political leaders met the parents of the girl and wished for her speedy recovery. They also learnt about the health of the girl from the doctors.

Deputy CM Pravati Parida said that she had talked to Jagatsinghpur MP who informed her about the stable health condition of the girl. She had earlier expressed grief over the incident and announced that the government will bear the expenses of the treatment of the girl.

She had reportedly sustained 75% burn injuries on her body. The unfortunate incident happened on July 19 when the girl was going to her friend’s house.

Crime Branch investigation:

On the other hand Crime Branch (CB) is investigating the incident. Even after four days of the incident, no one has been arrested. However, the officials found a silver ring from the crime scene. The police and CB are tracing the miscreants based on the silver ring.
