Shri Ramayana Express leaves Delhi on maiden tour
The Shri Ramayana Express, a special tourist train to run on the Ramayana circuit to cover major spots related to the Hindu epic was flagged off on Wednesday from Safdarjung Railway station here.
The train will complete its journey at Rameswaram in 16 days after stops at Ayodhya, Hanuman Garhi, Ramkot and Kanak Bhawan temple, Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Prayag, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi. Fare for the trip is fixed at Rs 15,120 per person.
There is an additional component –Sri Lanka, which is optional, and is charged separately. The tour package includes meals, accommodation, transfers, sight-seeing and dedicated tour manager.
