Series of Accidents Takes Place at Smart City

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a series of accidents took place a little ago today at the Xavier square on the Jaydev Vihar- Nandankanan Road in the capital city of Odisha. A number of people are feared injured in the series accident.

As per reports, today evening, a car hit another car at the Xavier square in Bhubaneswar. The second car accordingly lost control and hit the car in front of it. Like this about four cars hit each other. A number of people who were aboard these cars as well as the other people who were on the road then, have been feared injured.

After getting information, Maitri Vihar Police rushed to the spot and started action. The road has been jammed at Xavier square due to the accident. Hundreds of vehicles are standing on the road waiting for clearence. Police have been investigating to ascertain the people behind this series accident. Further probe of the case is underway.

It has been learnt that the driver who was driving the car that first hit another vehicle, was drunk. Police are trying to rescue him from the enraged public as the protestors have demanded justice and detained the drunk driver. By the time this report was written tension prevailed at Xavier square while Police were trying to normalize the situation. Further reports awaited.
